Introduction

I am a college student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an interest in fashion and beauty. I wanted to create a blog so I can share with the rest of you my secret tips for looking your best. For my first entry, I thought I'd give you a glimpse of some of my essentials- things I can't live without.

Diamonds are a girl's best friend. I wear studs like these every day to add a little sparkle to my outfit. Although they are an investment, this is an item that will last you for years to come. And diamonds NEVER go out of style.



Whenever I can, I try to make the time to get my nails done. Not only is it a great way to relax at the end of a busy day, it is an easy way to make a statement and add interest to any look. In the summer, I wear a lot of bright clothing and workout gear so I tend to go with lighter nail polish. I love these bright, neon shades by BYS Cosmetics. In the winter, I wear darker colors and usually go with a red polish like this one from OPI (Big Apple Red, OPI $7). It looks polished and sophisticated.

When it comes to perfume, it's always good to mix it up a bit. One way to do this is to have a different scent for day (milder) and night (bolder). I like the 0.25 oz bottles from Victoria's Secret that come in a sample pack. They make a great gift for the holidays and come in a pretty package.
